Where To Stay

Oceanfront lodges, artsy cottages, and Pacific Northwest retreats.

Cannon Beach's lodging is as thoughtfully crafted as the town itself. Rather than big chains, you'll find independently owned lodges, oceanfront inns, and artfully designed cottages that reflect the town's artistic sensibility. Properties near the beach and with views of Haystack Rock command premium rates — and are worth it.

Booking Tips

Book Very Early

Summer weekends at Cannon Beach sell out months in advance. The Stephanie Inn and Surfsand fill fastest. Don't procrastinate if you have a specific summer date in mind.

Fall is Spectacular

September and October offer dramatic skies, less fog than summer, good tide pool conditions, and rates 20–40% lower than peak season. Many locals consider fall the best time to visit.

Oceanfront vs. Town

Oceanfront rooms command a premium. If budget is a concern, town-side properties put you 5–10 minutes on foot from the beach with a significant price difference. Still a great experience.

Nearby Alternatives

Seaside (10 miles north) and Manzanita (20 miles south) are attractive alternatives with more availability and lower rates. Both are within easy day-trip distance of Cannon Beach.
